Abstract

Was bedeutet der digitale Wandel für das menschliche Denken und Wahrnehmen, das Selbst- und Weltverständnis und den Status von Wissen und Bildung? Das Buch zeigt Transformationsprozesse auf, die durch binäre Technologien ausgelöst bis tief hinein in die Alltagskulturen und Weltwahrnehmungen unserer Gesellschaften reichen. Dabei geht es nicht zuletzt um die Frage, welche veränderte Rolle Wissen in dieser neuen gesellschaftlichen und kulturellen Grundkonstellation zukommt und was Bildung dann noch sein kann und sein muss. Hierzu wird die bildungstheoretische Debatte aus medienwissenschaftlicher Perspektive fruchtbar und damit bearbeitbar gemacht.What consequences does the digital shift have for human thought and perception, for our understanding of ourselves and our world, and for the standing of knowledge and education?
